As someone with ADHD, I would like to share that we tend to communicate by sharing a similar situation. That's just how we communicate, and it sucks because people think we're trying to get attention.

I have found out semi recently that people with ADHD tend to do what you're speaking of more than others. I am extremely ADHD and used to do that in order to attempt to show empathy.
