I had the privilege of meeting Colin Farrell while working as an actor on Sugar Season 2. When he arrived on set, he personally said hello to everyone. That may seem like a small thing, but very few lead actors take the time to do that. When he came up to me, I thanked him for creating the Colin Farrell Foundation. My 7-year-old son is also nonverbal and has a disability similar to James’s. As a parent, I know how frightening the future can feel, especially when support becomes limited as children grow older. The moment I told Colin about my son, he stopped and spent several minutes talking with me. He asked about my son’s diagnosis, how he was doing, whether he was making progress, and even encouraged me to reach out to the Foundation. The entire set was waiting for him, yet he gave his full attention to a complete stranger. That moment showed me who he really is. Not just a great actor, but a genuinely kind, compassionate human being who uses his voice and his platform to help families like mine. I’ll never forget his kindness. Thank you.

I totally get this. At 56 with a 40 yr old son with cerebral palsy I worry about not being there for my son when I pass. It is terrifying. As I write this the tears are tripping me up 😢

20 years ago, Colin seemed to intensely dislike responsibility. But now, Colin has matured into dad of the Century. I admire and respect you now, Colin. 👍
