@thebettababes: Replying to @sofia here are my water spangle/duckweed/water lettuce basics! 1) your water should have a PH 6.4-7.3 2) temp 74-82 (flexible) 3) low filter flow 4) minimal surface agitation (often caused by air bubblers, high flow filters, etc) 5) balanced light! If there’s not equal distribution of light, your floating plants will die a slow painful death 6) There needs to be enough nutrients in the water column (water column= tank water). Yes, they do soak up the nitrates in the water, but sometimes they need a little extra - and thats when an all-in-one liquid fertilizer will come in handy!
