The ball needs to be released before the pivot foot is lifted. Once the ball goes to one hand it’s released.

its similar to a step through since you pick up the pivot foot. if the ball is released or hits the ground before the pivot foot the no travel.

That is a travel. And on top of that add the 2009 gather step. Offensive player gets 5 steps without dribbling on one play. They need to change rules. To much scoring and no Defense

yip travel hard...you can't lift your pivot foot. NBA had to change the rules to allow players to create space.
