Direct affirmations are wrecking balls that demolish those beliefs at the core.  They come in swingin’ ready to lay waste to whatever is in the path (kinda like my 3 year lil cousin who climbing walls like spiderman, knocking down all thr photos on the walk when they get some candy 🤣) Picture it 🤔 Your students are in small groups of 4 working on 2 step equations. 3 students are nearly done with the assignment & casually chatting about the newest skin on Fortnite.  The last student in the group hasnt solved the 1st question out of 10 You walk by & hear the student mutter under their breath…  ❌ “Its taking me way too long to do this problem” You can offer THIS to the student to reframe their perspective to squash that anxiety… ✅ “I work at my own pace” . . You’re prolly wondering “How do I actually do that?” No worries 😃 Here’s 3 easy steps to create a direct affirmation to molly wop anxiety like it owes you lunch money 🫴🏾💵 1️⃣ Spot the root issue  In this example, Your student is the last person in their group to solve the question. They’re terrified its taking so long to get the answer 2️⃣ Use the opposite The opposite of fast is slow. Thus, the affirmation is centered on slowing down to reassure them  3️⃣ Say with energy Once you gathered your words, put your whole back into it. Say it with ya chest and standing on business!  . .
