my dad refused at the reception to do the dad daughter dance. he was mad that the venuedid the table numbers in reverse mistakelyand wasn't near us. I danced with my twin bro. my niece called it out.

Well, this brought back the day my son asked me to do a dance with him, and now I am a sobby mess!! 😭 So glad that our relationship isn't like this! 😂❤️

I have a strained relationship with my Dad so it was uncomfortable to do the dance, plus both of us hate attention like that. So I danced with him for half a song and then danced with my Grandpa for the rest of it and I had asked that the DJ have all the dad’s and daughters and mothers and sons dance together halfway through to draw some attention. It helped immensely.

My cousin was disowned by his mother who behaves like this. She wasn’t invited to the wedding. He danced with his 90 yr old grandmother and it was the sweetest thing.
