Well how long do people usually stay at a restuarant? I think Im at a restuarant for at 60- 90 minutes. Thats the length of most movies. So I dont think this is a bad idea 🤭

service is so much better in countries without tipping. in europe they don't care how long you stay, you can just enjoy yourself because they don't need the high turnover. it's so much nicer.

Besides the tip, imagine you have 5 other tables and people in the waiting area for a table. So they’d need to tip me for THEIR meal and enough for the prospective tables I’m missing out on…chile.

The reason that people don’t like when they stay too long is because they are trying to turn their tables over to make more money. They don’t wanna keep having just the same guest sitting at a table

I worked at Twin peaks and a regular would come in and sip on one drink for 1-2 hours before finally ordering his usual chicken tender meal. Then would only tip 4 bucks. Every weekend.

like someone said, just communicate you tend to stay longer. at my restaurant, turn over table time is about 30-45 mins. but if you ask/be polite to your server and give a good tip, we don't care.
