If I had to pick my most surprising makeup products of 2024, it’s a tie between @Katiejanehughes’s Smudge Sticks and @Polite Society Beauty’s foundation. At first, the foundation honestly didn’t catch my attention—I’d seen it everywhere but wasn’t sold. I already had my trusty favorites so I overlooked her for awhile but when I finally did try it, the formula completely took over for me! It’s the gel-like texture that won me over, and the way it feels on my skin is just unmatched. I’m so glad I gave her a chance! The KJH smudge sticks were something that I was instantly sold on though! I was always a huge fan of Katie so her products really made me excited from the jump. I’m not usually into matte products, but these had me hooked for both lip and cheek. It’s this modern smudge effect that feels fresh and wearable without looking flat.
