@drrads: Brand NEW Dental Hygiene Apprenticeship- keep a look out for these or follow to find out as soon as they get released How to become a Dental Hygienist - This is a brand new pathway for nurses, other members of the dental team, and A Level students to enter the dental field. 📝 The standards for these apprenticeships have been created and APPROVED as of July 2024! There are a few more steps in the process before clinics start offering these and employing apprentices. However, it seems like the process could start rolling within the next few months to a year. 📚Entry requirements - typically 5 GCSEs have been required, as well a Biology A level, or Access course, however the employers will decide their own requirements and MAY be more lenient! 🦷 Dental Nurses and other members of the dental team will be the best people to progress their career, that seems to be the targeted audience for these apprenticeships, as well as those from low socioeconomic backgrounds who often face financial barriers to accessing higher education. #dentalhygienetherapy #dentalhygiene #dentalhygieneschool #dentalnurse #careers #apprenticeship
