that is a fungus, where moisture gets trapped between the fake nail and glue pocket. Not a nail guru but have had this happen alot with the glue on press ons

You could try soaking your nails in Apple Cider Vinegar like Bragg's ACV and a little warm water Several times a week. It's also good to soak your hands and feet in it too. Helps soften toughened skin
