That 2 pin connector is a NATO standard plug for jump starting equipment.

The plug is to jump other vehicles instead of using jumper cables it’s called a nato receptacle

They have the biggest problem with exhaust leaks because the manifold design I’ve restored a couple and have helped a lot of people get theirs up and running

the plug was to jump other vehicles. technically you can run something off it though. it's now called a NATO receptacle and looks different. still on all military trucks though

Everything old is new again. I remember my dad changing out the oil bath filter in a '54 Chevy.
