For anyone asking for instructions:
1. Find a box that is proportionate to the kid that will be wearing the costume and cut the bottom half off. You want to keep the top half and flaps for fastening the wings, nose, and exhaust tubes to it.
2. Use cardboard from an old box to cut out your wings and nose pieces. Cut out your wings on each side proportionate to the size of your box. Then cut the nose pieces, one for the top and two more for each side underneath the top piece to make a triangle.
3. Cut two exhaust pipes from a cylinder of cardboard. I used an old wrapping paper tube, but you could use a paper towel tube.
4. Spray paint your box body and all cut out pieces with primer and blue spray paint.
5. Attach pieces to the box with hot glue gun.
6. Add some stabilizer cardboard pieces under the wing flaps for support.
7. Use yellow paper to cut out designs and I taped them on.
8. Use red and/or orange tissue paper and glue to add “fire” coming from the exhaust pipes
9. You can print the blue angels logo from google and I taped it on with clear packing tape
10. I bought 2 inch wide elastic and cut the straps to fit while my child was in it. I hot glued the straps to the inside and had enough length to wrap around the bottom and back up slightly and added binder clips for extra security.
