I have a theory to add to Varys being a blackfyre, what if Vary’s owner wanted to use a spell but it needed kings blood, but he cut of Varys bits to get it, thus the fire changed colour for the spell

I think in the book and the show they make comments about a kings blood having power. So I wouldn't be surprised if he was from some sort of powerful family and that's why his parts were used
