As it was said, red end goes toward the heart, arm or leg. ALSO don’t carry the one you practice with and having it staged correctly is key too

Correct on high and tight, but the tail ends needs to be towards the heart. You get more leverage to get it tight compared to trying to pull the tail towards the outside

People must be extremely careful when using these. On a emergency training course at my work you'd be amazed how many people had ZERO idea of how and when to use these. Scary tbh
