@caalifestyle: I remember before starting Anesthesiologist Assistant school hoping that the jobs paying $140k would still be available by the time I graduated in 2 years. Coming from a low income household, this was already more than anyone in my immediate and extended family ever made. Fast forward to 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, and those fears only got worse as the world slowed down. But to my surprise, in 2021, I was offered more than I had anticipated. I jumped at the high salary and immediately sent back my signed contract without negotiating (in retrospect this was a mistake). Since then- salaries, hourly rates, and PTO have all increased across the states for CAAs. All in all this job has given me and many others more than I ever expected. I try to spread as much awareness about anesthesiologist assistants and donate to opening new states so others can experience the same 🤍 . . . . #anesthesiologistassistant #certifiedanesthesiologistassistant #anesthesiology #anesthetist #anesthesia #anesthesiacareteam #nursing #medicalschool #premed #prepa #physicianassistant #stem #stemmajor #dental #predental #paramedic #emt #emergencymedicine #prepharmacy #pharmacist #medschool #paschool #nursingschool #clinicals #crna #anesthesiologistassistantschool

For those who are complaining about the cost, you could always try to muscle your way though your procedure without it.

We are missing the forest 🌳 for the tree 🌲 …. ALL healthcare workers should be paid a lot more than they earn because they literally….. yes literally save lives. 🎩 hats off you all and thank you 🙏

The anesthesia team is hands down the MOST important team in the OR - they’re the ones keeping you alive during surgery so a chunky salary is TOTALLY warranted 😉 Thank you for what you do!!!
