Fine hair doesn’t mean thin hair Fine hair refers to the diameter of each strand, thin refers to overall density. I remember wishing my hair wasn’t fine, but I love how easy it is to style and it’s pretty versatile. Styling tips for fine hair - 1. Always use a lightweight leave-in conditioner after washing. This adds hydration to keep your hair smooth and healthy. I use my Silky Leave-In Conditioner Spray after every wash, it’s lightweight and non-toxic. 2. Do get a layered cut, this helps add movement and volume. I have long layers throughout my hair, face framing layers, and long curtain bangs. I used to think blunt one length cuts were the only style I could have. My stylist told me that’s what looks best on fine hair, and keeping it short would make it look thicker. I think she was wrong.. 3. Strengthen your hair at the roots by scalp oiling at least once a week. I use my Scalp Strengthening Oil weekly to help thicken my hair strands and grow long and strong hair. I have minimal breakage even though I bleach my hair 1-2 times a year. 4. Clarify your hair once a week to remove build up, this keeps my fine hair healthy and adds volume. Build up weighs down fine hair and it’s noticeable since our strands are thinner. I use my Refresh Clarifying Shampoo Bar at least once a week to refresh my hair. 5. Exfoliate your scalp weekly, this helps remove dead skin and other debris that can clog and weigh down hair. I use my Detox Scalp Scrub weekly. 🦋 all scalp and hair care products I use in my hair routine is linked in my bio.
