The problem is it’s not black and white. Just having goals or winning trophies doesn’t necessarily give you the ballondor. If you review it holistically considering all factors most results make sense

Criteria change in every awards hhhhh you're talking about 10+ years period, if mbappe won that world cup he would have been the Ballon d'or too. Haaland didn't even play the world cup

I disagree with the last one. Messi had 67 g/a and 25 MOTM. Haalabd had 66 g/a and 11 MOTM. Messis imapact beyond stats was obviously better than Haalands and factoring that Haaland disappointed (1)

Vini didn’t have 40g/a like Messi & Ronaldo. In 2010, Messi had a crazy G/A and WC Golden Ball was awarded to Forlan. Obviously Forlan wasn’t going to win it. Modric, (2023)Messi & Rodri all won

It makes perfect sense. If someone’s World Cup campaign is strong enough it will overdo someone’s club campaign. With euros/ copa America mattering a bit less. Only robberies were Rodri’s and Modrics
