@sh2aa7: In 1991, Syrian SAMs almost Hit an wt F-117 Stealth Fighter. On January 26th, 1991, an F-117 Nighthawk was refueling in the midst of the night. A while later, 3 explosions in close proximity rocked the F-117 all of a sudden. The pilot speculated, "Am I over the enemy territory? However, it was confirmed that he was in the right place, and his plane was also fine. After landing, the pilot informed the USAF's intelligence analysts about this, who later told him that he was actually flying close to Syria at the time.
