I worked for this exact company 4 years ago. Before the ventilation was installed you could barely see the person next to you from the dust.

I worked at a kitchen worktop company in NI for 5 years. water is used to keep dust down. that is Standard throughout the industry. all saws, CNCs, Edge polishers etc for stone has water jets on them

Cutting any kind of stone or concrete without protection will cause this. It doesn't have anything to do with these stove tops.

Safety and Wellbeing.... Not sure about this company but most of them keep workers on the edge saying H&S is important on the other hand pressurizing them to work faster and faster.
