Separation & divorce isn't easy. Sometimes, people who are "married" live as roommates before deciding to finally separate, maybe are worried about the children involved, maybe finances are dictating.

Separation & Divirce are never easy to go through. One always feels like they have to be a victim. And sometimes denial with being seperated. If you have filed for divorce and haven’t lived in the same house or state for over 2 years together, you’re seperated. And it’s not that the other one is cheating or the new person is a homewrecker. And yes this says living with their spouse, but some are delusional with what “living with their spouse”means, just because they pay the mortgage doesn’t mean you are living together.

i know multiple people who cant afford to move or get a divorce they arnt together but for whatever reason they stay in the same house 1 person i know is because they have a special needs child and its the best option for them to continue in the same house so the child has the care needed and less stress the man has the basement (they made it into a apartment) and the woman has the upstairs and they co exsist and co parent they've done this for 6 years both have new partners but they keep the arrangement for their son

It’s possible to still be living together, but a single other red flag with that and run fast. If they make excuses to not talk on phone or hang out, they’re lying. Separated spouse wouldn’t care.

unfortunately this is the only post I can't agree with, my husband's infidelity put me in a place where I 100% now consider myself separated but I cannot afford to leave and sell my house yet.
