so- I've gotta question lol how do you make sure when you're casting on you're not using the tail of the yarn? or are you supposed to tighten the stitches w the tail? brand new to knitting-

Fun tip: if you don’t know how long to make the long tail, wrap it around the needle about 10 times then use that to measure ten stitches. If you need 20 stitches, use twice the amount!

if you steek USE WOOL because wool felts. non animal hair won't. I made a whole sweater 😭 don't make my mistake, it isn't falling apart yet but I'm scared

if you make a habit of doing this without the slipknot (you dont need it) you’ve also learned a provisional cast on.
