As a larger plus size mom with a 1st grader, I so dread the day kids bully him for my size. But we've taught that bodies can come in all different shapes and sizes and it's the least interesting thing

A classmate asked my 11yo daughter, “How are you not embarrassed to have that many stickers on your water bottle?” Kids will tease about all the things. My daughter just shrugged.

My son was scared to dress as Pete the Cat for book character day on Thursday bc he was sure he'd get teased. He's 10, in 5th grade, his teacher said she has his back and to dress as Pete the Cat 🥰
