I think it has something to do with how disconnected humanity now is. everything is mass produced and automated. so a letter written by a human, with a unique story in it, is rare and touching.

My friend did this in a small village, then ending up buying one he sent a letter to. So it does work.

Or maybe this means that almost anything has a price. In theory we often say we would never do something but I believe that given certain circumstances most of us would change their mind.

I think people’s dislike of estate agents and idea of cutting them out of a deal (so getting a better price and sales process) might come into it quite heavily too. Ppl like beating systems

I did this and it was so much better that waiting for houses to come on the market. We had loads of responses and made offers. Only problem was the varying valuations people had of their homes
