Now look into staff-slings. They have approximately the same maximum velocity as slings, but can handle much heavier projectiles.

i made a simple sling in 6th grade for a project, i was a weak armed nerd i still put a small steel ball thru some plywood. pretty accurate too

Try it again with an undamaged sheet, once cracks form the polycarbonate integrity is gone. Might see different results with an intact sample.

That shield was already weakened with what looks like bullet holes. I'm not saying the sling couldn't break through but we won't really know unless you try with an undamaged one

TBF, those kinds of shields aren't suppose to be permanent bulletproof surfaces, like Kevlar helmets aren't. It's supposed to shatter and divert the object and then be replaced. Still impressed tho.

Well bullet proof glass is a high impact material a slingshot is considerably slowerthan a gun projectile and slower just means more coming from your sling
