take catnip with you, I had feral cats and house cats, my feral cats it acted like a calming effect on them, my housecats, nothing i did this recently on feral cat last week. worked might help

I was told to do the regular feedings daily for a while then stop for a few days. Next time you’re back he will be hungry enough to go in. The Toms are the hardest to get.

I’m sure someone has already suggested but a drop trap might work better. Or cover the top of the trap with a towel and put a hand towel inside on the floor of the trap. Good luck and thank you for caring. I have trapped 23 ferals myself. 🥰
