@animaltalkz: Fish Rescue: Saving Fish from a Drying Puddle in My Garden @FishingTalkz Today, as I was about to water my vegetable garden, I stumbled upon an unexpected sight - a puddle that was almost dried up. To my surprise, flashes of red were visible beneath the muddy surface. Intrigued, I realized there were quite a few fish trapped in the shrinking water. Sensing an opportunity to help, I quickly grabbed my net and bucket to rescue these little creatures before it was too late. The puddle had just a little water left, and among the mud, I spotted two red fish huddling together, seemingly to keep warm. Using my net, I carefully scooped them up. They were incredibly lively, jumping energetically even after being caught. One of them was a plump, white red carp - absolutely adorable! I decided to keep it in my fish tank at home. As I continued, I noticed a big carp. With a surprise move, I tried to catch it, but it was quite feisty and splashed mud all over me. Despite the challenge, I managed to get it into the bucket. The fish was so active that it even attempted to jump out of the tall bucket! It reminded me of how lively nature can be and gave me a good laugh. Realizing the net wasn't effective, I switched to using my hands - my ancestral "Dragon Claw Hand" technique - to catch the fish. I caught several more, including beautiful grass carps and even a sunfish. Some fish tried to hide by burrowing into the mud, but I was able to gently coax them out. The water became increasingly murky, making it harder to see, but I embraced the challenge. I believe these fish ended up in the puddle when the reservoir released water during the hot summer days. Originally, the puddle's water was meant for irrigating my garden, but I never expected to find so many fish in it. It was an exhilarating experience, almost like fishing in muddy waters! By the end, I was covered in mud, but the joy of rescuing these fish made it all worthwhile. Looking at today's harvest, I caught a large red carp, which I estimate weighs about 1.5 kg, a small grass carp, and several other assorted carps. I'm excited to take them home and raise them. Sometimes, unexpected adventures happen right in our backyard. I'm grateful for this delightful surprise and the chance to help these little guys.
