I hate when ppl say this. I swear every cop I’ve talked to says the same thing. It’s a myth. Could you imagine if cops had a quota?!? That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. We could say they just pulled us over to meet their quota.

idk I always see more cops at the end of the month. cause when people are racing on the highway I don't see any cops around. 😂

I’m on the road 13 hours a day between my commute and driving a truck for work. There’s absolutely a bigger police presence and more cars getting pulled over at the end of the month.

I see the same police cars in the same spots because that's where everyone speeds. Sometimes there is 1 sometimes there are 3. 😅 So it makes it seem like there are more!

kinda on the subject, but why are DUI checkpoints considered unconstitutional in some states? i personally feel like if someone is drinking and driving, they SHOULD be caught. driving is a privilege.

I ran from a cop once. When I finally stopped he asked me why I was running. I said I thought you were the one that ran off with my wife and was trying to bring her back. 😁

There are no ticket quotas in police departments, I believe it’s against state law. However, I did know a chief who issued newer police cars to officers based on how many tickets you issued.

If I’m caught speeding to pass someone going under the speed limit (vehicle on a single lane road or 18 wheeler) since it’s safer to get around them quickly could I get a ticket?

My sister and brother-in-law were highway patrol in California for 32 years. One shift she can do eight tickets and one shift she can do a crash scene that takes up her whole day. Impossible to have a quota.
