I have 3 kids, oldest is 10. I just learned about the switch witch. It made me sad. I love watching my kids eating their hard earned candy. Their neuro-spicy-ness makes things interesting too. 😂

My only firm rule is that if a grown up throws out your candy wrapper then they get to pick two of your candies. They pick up and I get a few candies haha

My parents inadvertently gentle parented me because they were 40 & tired, but this was their approach. Just eat the candy, we’re tired

The Switch Witch was something I learned about through my parents of kids with allergies support group. She would come to take the candy that could kill them and replace it with SAFE CANDY.

My only parenting plan for Halloween is once we get home I am going unwrap everything and put it in a bag so I don’t have to unwrap things every 10 seconds and so the wrappers all go in the trash

No restrictions, but I offer to buy it from them, if they want the money. I take it to the hospital where I work and put in the candy bowl for nurses. Everyone wins.

We had to pay Candy tax to my parents- they each got to choose one and my dad pretended his favorite Candy was almond joy our whole lives cuz he knew we didn’t like it 🥺🥰
