@hera.fine.jewelry: Replying to @Bingo The Best Boi™️ i understand there was a time in history when this made sense, but diamonds have very little cash resale value. They’re a luxury purchase like a car, not an investment. #jewelrydesigner #jewelrybusiness #engagementring #diamond #labdiamond #labvsnatural
Is this true for natural mined diamonds as well? I always hear conflicting things about this & some people say that natural does appreciate in value

Do you think that the gold itself is still the investment? That’s always been my family’s thought

I keep seeing that justification lately and it’s so strange! Is this a new tactic from the natural diamond folks 😅

in an emergency trying to sell jewelry for any emergency diamonds ain’t cutting it. I have a 3ct princess cut that’s beautiful but no one’s buying it-especially because they can just get a lab

If it’s depreciating, it’s a liability. You don’t want too many liabilities in your life, financially and metaphorically 😆

Gitanos and other nomads still use gold jewellery as savings. They live off grid on purpose. Not a choice I'd make but it seems to work well for them.

Of all the different types of jewelry, no1 should be looking at engagement rings especially as something they plan on selling in the future 😬
