It’s such a strange feeling. To see streets that were once absolutely packed with children just become barren once I was an adult. All I remember from Halloween when I was a kid, was that you had to be quick or else a bunch of other kids would get the good candy or the last of it at each house. Now, I see no kids walking around at all, and if they do walk around, they usually have to walk quite a bit just to find houses that are giving out candy. Last year barely anybody came, maybe 5 separate groups of 5-6 people and that’s it. Nobody even came this year and it was because a church was doing Trunk or Treat a mile away.

My girlfriend and I took the kids to do house to house. There is no way in hell I’m gonna have them miss out on the same experience I had as a kid. Trunk or treat has ruined Halloween.

This happened to my husband last year. So later that night I put a mask on with my moo moo, snuck outside, and knocked on the door with a pillow case. He opened the door and had a huge smile when he saw me and I said trick or treat, and as went to give me a piece I grabbed the bowl of candy and took off and ran away with it! He was so happy and laughed so hard. I helped heal his heart from the disappointment of no trick or treaters and it was the best feeling ever 🖤

I took my daughter down a pretty quiet street in a nieghborhood on Halloween. We didn't see any other kids, and she went up to every house with lights on,and all these people gave her HUGE handfulls

it was dead where I live. I saw an elderly man dressed up and handing out candy. no one stopped by.so I dressed up in different costumes and visited him a few times. he smiled and thanked me everytime

I know my town its the trunk or treating thats killing it! Every day for the entire week of Halloween there is a trunk or treat at a local church or kid friendly place like karate studios !
