In the Philippines, Tocino refers to sweetened and cured pork belly. I marinated this in a simple not so traditional Filipino Tocino marinade overnight then added more sugar to caramelize it. Finally topping it off with some fresh fried crispy garlic. ๐คฏ I literally ate this whole batch while filming the end bite shot and had to make more lol This is one recipe I highly recommend yโall try. I promise youโll enjoy it as much as I did ๐ฏ _______________________________________ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐จ: โข 1/2 lb bacon โข ยฝ c brown sugar โข 1 tbsp kosher salt โข 1 tbsp coarse black pepper โข 2 tbsp garlic paste โข 1 tbsp soy sauce โข 2 tbsp cane vinegar โข ยฝ c pineapple juice โข 6 drops of red food coloring *optional ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐ช๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐จ: 1. Add all ingredients to a small container and mix thoughtfully 2. Add in bacon, mix then cover and let marinate overnight or 24hrs for better results 3. Place bacon on a wire rack then top with brown sugar 4. Smoke or bake at 300F until bacon is fully cooked and when edges start to char 5.
