there are definitely also more conservative areas in Berlin but overall being queer is very normalized here. especially in Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg.

I grew up in the gayest district of Berlin at Nollendorfplatz and when I was young and realized I'm queer, I didn't even bother to "come out" as I thought queer was just how people are 🌈

As a lesbian teenager from Germany, there’s nothing I want more than to visit Berlin. I’m obsessed with queer history and Berlin has always been a hotspot for queer people through history!!

I’d agree with feeling comfortable in Berlin for the most part. Every once in a while a man will make a comment on the street, and one time one spit on me at an ubahn station.

100% I never even thought about it until I moved back from Brisbane to London. In London I was attacked twice purely for being queer. Berlin sounds elite indeed 🔥

I accidently stayed in Berlin during pride. 10/10. I did feel guilty having an apartment in Schöneberg, like I was taking a place away from a lgbtq couple but it was a beautiful even as an outsider.
