@jessicadasoares: Does anyone play around with these types of crochet patterns?? And also, what do you guys do with the back so it doesn’t look horrible?? 😂😂 #crochetersoftiktok #crochettiktok #crochettok #crochet #crochetaddiction
Look up intarsia crochet it’s how I completed my blanket and it results in a cleaner piece

Look into mosaic crochet. World of difference and so easy and fast… dare I say even fun??!! This is pretty! When I do tapestry crochet I usually put a felt backing on it. 😅

i use the "bobbin technique" , the back will look identical to the front.

Traditional tapestry is worked over the color not in use so that it’s the same on both sides. Leaving the yarn out like that is actually intarsia. Mosaic crochet is working one color per row.

I used to do single crochet and didn’t like how it was a little warped so now i do Tunisian crochet tapestry style and it’s smoother. I also use small cross stitch patterns

they do take ages but are so worth it!! if youre working on the right side you can crochet the floated yarns in to make it look a bit neater? I personally love tapestry crochet and making my own on

Yarn Goblin :
you can carry the yarn inside of the stitches instead of behind the stitches

Okay but that looks sooo much better than my first try at tapestry, it looks great! I’m still so confused by all the types.

You either cut each row like with mosaic or you learn to crochet with both hands so you never turn your work

My backs don’t look like that because I don’t carry the yarn.

For the back especially if you’re doing a blanket, add a fluffy soft backing. That’s what I do. I love difficult stuff, and make my own pixel patterns

if you make a bunch of them you can do a sew on back after attaching them. like a fleece or just a fabric you like that goes well with it. 🥰

for your first time that's INCREDIBLE!!! I can tell you got a strong handle on your tension which is what I struggle(d) with the most

You could have worked over those strings to hide them. When I first saw your pattern I thought that I would skip the black and top stitch the outline later.

lol girly you did awesome!! I am a pretty excellent crocheter, done everything EXCEPT that! I think I’d sew a lining on the back. Nice job!
