Its true, its no job. My mom is a single mother with 3 kids, its responsblity, a very hard one. In a job you can clock out, but a family. A family is a full responablity. Your a good father.

as someone who was once a child, i would really like it if my parents did not see me as something they had to take care of and instead wanted to take care of 😁. I get it its hard but a job is crazy

As a kid of a single mother, I had to go through the "I did everything for you" speech alot growing up and every time I'd say, "And if you didn't?" and I'd get in trouble. But I never got an answer🫤

I’m looking forward to my maternity leave. Kids are not easy but they are not a job. They are far more rewarding and precious than any job and a lot easier to cope with than a job (I hate my job)

I agree it's is a responsibility. it's handling a whole other life. I don't have kids but my mom told me being a parent is something you do til you are in your grave you can't give up on a child.

A "job" makes taking care of your child sound...boring, repetitive, and unpleasant. Not how I view it. Some days can be like that, but even the responsible portions of it are fulfilling. 😏

I'm a stay at home dad, and even tho it's difficult and tedious most days, it's always rewarding and I never not want to di this. being a parent is no job, it's a privilege.

It can be both? A job isn’t a bad thing. I love my job; it’s challenging, but rewarding. I have lots of responsibilities with my job. Being an adult, let alone a parent, takes work. And it’s awesome!
