I do HVAC and I think if you check the cfm with the cover on and then with it off I would say that it would be an air restriction.cfm would be less with it on.it would work but it would cut your effic

Gonna cost you more to operate and guarantee it is not approved by any a/c manufacturer and if you install that thing you will see your contractor way more often for fan motors and high head pressure

Contactor arent expensive, what's expensive are dirt ball contractors that change outraious prices, been doing this for 42 yrs and its a shame that companies charge the prices they do JS!!

You know what else causes you inexpensive repair? Raising the head pressure on your system because you are partially blocking the airflow of the condenser fan motor.
