After weeks of meticulous preparation, the seawater in my tank is finally thriving, and I couldn't be happier with the results! 🌊🐟 To ensure everything runs smoothly before introducing the main inhabitants, I decided to start with some clownfish to explore the tank. However, I realized that the experimental fish I purchased were a bit too small, and I could sense they were under significant stress. My previous attempts at maintaining a seawater aquarium weren't very successful, leaving me with some lingering doubts. Honestly, I wasn't sure what would happen when I placed these little guys into the seawater I personally prepared. But to my immense relief and excitement, the moment they entered the water, they were still alive! 🎉🐠 Watching them survive and thrive has been incredibly rewarding. They survived the first ten seconds, then over a minute, 10 minutes, and now an entire hour! This success indicates that my seawater preparation was spot on. It's a huge milestone for me, and I'm so grateful for this progress. 🙌✨ But the excitement doesn't stop there! Today, two new members joined our aquarium family – sea cucumbers! 🥒🐚 After the disappointing behavior of the mantis shrimp in the last setup, many of you messaged me privately, suggesting that the lack of sand was the culprit. Taking your advice to heart, I decided to redecorate the mantis shrimp's home with clean, easy-to-maintain sand. Cleaning the substrate was a challenge, so I invited sea cucumbers to help maintain a pristine environment. These sea cucumbers are true cleaning experts! They began picking up debris as soon as they entered the tank, and it's fascinating to watch them happily consume sand. It's the first time I've seen creatures so enthusiastic about eating sand, and their efficiency is impressive. 🧼🌿 I encourage my new sea cucumber friends to eat well and stay healthy – the more they eat, the plumper and more effective they become at keeping the tank clean. With their help, I feel confident that achieving a balanced and clean aquarium environment is just around the corner. 🏡💧 Thank you all for your continued support and amazing suggestions.
