@roamaroo_travel: Voting like our daughter’s rights depend on it 🤍TW ⚠️ 🤍We want better. We want better for you. For your family. For your kids. For your kids, kids. We as a collective have the power to move the needle in the right direction. Economies simply cannot function without a thriving structure of care. 82% of American voters support parental leave yet it still doesn’t exist…but it’s actually on the ballot this year 💥 🤍We want a better baseline for every woman, child, and man and we will work our hardest to bring awareness to what is and what can be. We have the ability to look at success stories from other countries around the world to model a better baseline for families in our own country.
🤍If you’re angry with this video, good. You should be. These are realities and they’re upsetting. Anger is an intense emotion and it can be a huge motivator for change. We dug deep into the things that triggered us in order to make this. Because as entrepreneurial parents in the U.S., we don’t get paid parental leave (unlike other countries like The Netherlands and Norway). But we’re not special in this position…. we’re like most of our fellow Americans. The truth around family leave, the racial disparities and lack of prenatal & postpartum care, and the cost of childcare are all in dire need of improvement. We need modern-day legislative updates to support our economy and the people contributing to it. 🤍Vote. Get involved. Make your voice heard. Here are a few organizations and people that are leading the brigade to make the U.S. a better place. • @paidleaveforall - “a growing collaborative of organizations fighting for paid family and medical leave for all working people.” • @momsfirstus - “Movement fighting to get moms the support we deserve: child care, paid leave, equal pay.” • @Reshmasaujani - The CEO/founder of @MomsFirstUS • @motheringjustice - “A black woman-led, grassroots advocacy and leadership development org that inspires mamas of color to take action on US policy change” • @boramcare - changing postpartum care in America #parentalleave #paidleave #momssupportingmoms #parentinghumor #parentingproblems #parentingsupport #consciousparenting #vote

My dad used to hound me about having kids & I told him“if you wanted grandkids you shouldn’t have spent 30yrs voting to make it completely unaffordable for me to have them”.😂

We are germans. Everyone geht's Healthcare and your employer pays half of it. We get 2 years paid parental leave (can be used by mom/dad). Childcare in some cities like Hamburg is completely free.

As a nurse I actually get penalized if I call off because I don’t get “sick days”, instead I get points against me and if I get too many points I’m fired! It’s great!🙃

Yes! Sad but 100% true. Today in Mexico, I had a mammogram, Pap smear, pelvic ultrasound, bone density scan and two other treatments for US$50. Totally state of the art and accessible highquality care

In Bulgaria we have 3 years paid maternal leave. First year you got paid 90% of your salary and the second and third year you get minimum wage.

I’m Canadian and I have none of those problems. In fact when my son lost his leg to a DUI driver it didn’t cost us anything but gas money and parking and that was paid for by WA too.

Yes. True 100%. I worked after my kids but paid almost my whole paycheck to daycare. But I had to work bc I was the one with decent healthcare and if I stopped i lost access to medical care
