no thats is half wrong, with the first vote we vote our Präsident "Kanzler" and with the sevon vote we decide how many seats each Party gets.

Germany has 5 main parties, the US has 2 main parties. Doesn't make any sense for the US to take this approach.

I'm not a fan of their electoral threshold of 5%. Here in the Netherlands you just get the number of seats in the house that corresponds to the percentage of votes you got.

Also no voting machines, voting booths with high enough walls so nobody can look into them, short waiting lines and you can’t take pictures or show your ballot to anyone!

Don’t think it would work. In that system the majority coalition would have the legislative and executive branches. Gives to much control to one coalition.
