Nature’s nectar 🍉

Dates are one of my favourite foods of all time, but the medjool dates you find on most supermarket shelves (including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and Asda) are all sourced from Israel, and in-line with the @bds.movement, we’re boycotting Israeli products.

This is why I buy my dates from social enterprise @zaytoun_cic. I’ve also tried @holylanddates which I loved. To learn more, please see @PalestineSolidarityUK @bds.movement, and be sure to avoid the following brands: Hadiklaim, King Solomon, Jordan River, MyJool, Mehadrin, MTex, Edom, Carmel Agrexco and Arava.
📌 This video was externally fact-checked using a methodology seeking third party criticism from diverse sources, cross-checking at least three reputable sources for each claim, and was mindful of bias and conflict of interests. The focus was primarily on reports from the past couple years, as the landscape and narrative are rapidly shifting. Acknowledging media coverage and source availability has also changed - with fewer sources available as many outlets have only recently shifted their reporting. Extra caution was given with stats, given Israel’s control over data and restricted information flow from Pa|estine. Sources:
