The round looks so much better and the design is much better to style decor and bed linen around rather than the checkerboard style although it is a nice rug definitely suited to a specific style

It might be your personal preference to have your bed in the corner but i feel the bed would look nicer centered on one of the walls.

Buy the liner type stuff that you put in drawers, it’s perfect under the rug to stop it slipping and it doesn’t ruin your floors like the tape would.

Since the rug is a bit of a statement in regards to the pattern (which I love), I would simply the bedding to tie it all together. It is really nice though

The blue mirror and check red bedspread are clashing. What might be an idea is picking a colour scheme and buying within that and adding beige and creams that’ll match the rug too
