I’m a nurse. This is a good doctor, it’s best to be absolutely certain before he takes over your plan of care. Prayers for strength and positivity 💜

I do patient safety- this is good- he’s avoiding confirmation bias so he doesn’t take you down a wrong path. So many times the first opinion colors everything afterward. Fresh eyes are good!

I’m an RN as MSK-they do this often bc they have found things that other institutions have missed or been misdiagnosed. I’m glad they are being thorough to get you the best treatment!

Liver biopsies are such a pain, I’m so sorry. The only good thing is if they might find a biomarker that wasn’t there before that can be targeted

Redoing everything is great - they need their own baseline to ensure you’re being treated to the BEST of their ability and that nothing is falling through the cracks. ❤️

I’m glad you have a new doctor and one that is willing to start over. It’s such a very rare cancer that something could have been missed or misdiagnosed. Praying for you and your peace.

Trust the doctor. You are in good hands. I work in oncology in CT. We send all of our patients for second opinions to that cancer center. The doctor is being thorough, which is good.
