@padmalakshmi: Last night we celebrated Diwali with family and friends, old and new. It was a beautiful evening commemorating the triumph of light over darkness, as well as the triumph of knowledge and wisdom over ignorance. And for many of us, it was a wonderful salve for all the anxiety we’ve been feeling, especially as we face this week ahead. We hope and prayed for light and wisdom to prevail on Tuesday and whatever lies ahead, that we as a country have the strength to face it. Om Shanti.
