@clairehodginss: Trying the viral DATE CARAMEL APPLE! 🍎🍂✨ I saw this idea for making a caramel apple using dates, and I had to try it! Dates are naturally very sweet and have a caramel-like taste, and this recipe turned out SO GOOD! Inspired by @Avocado Bella Ingredients: - Medjool dates (I used 9 - you may need less or more depending on the size of your apple) - 1 apple (I used honeycrisp) Optional toppings: - I melted 1/4 cup dark choc chips with 1 tsp coconut oil (which keeps it from cracking when you cut the apple) - I added crushed peanuts but you could do any crushed nuts, candies, sprinkles etc! How to: - Lay a piece of plastic wrap on your counter or cutting board - Open the dates up and remove the pit - Place the dates in a square shape with the sticky inside facing up - Lay another piece of plastic wrap on top of the dates - Use a rolling pin or jar to flatten out the dates - Wash and apple and make sure to dry it very well, then place in the center of the dates - Fold up the sides of the plastic wrap and kind of squish the dates around so they are fully covering the apple 😂 - Carefully peel of the plastic wrap (if you are having trouble with the dates sticking you can place it in the fridge for 10 mins first) - Optional: dip the apple in chocolate and add toppings! - Place in the fridge to set for 15-20 mins, then slice and enjoy! 🫶 #dateapple #viralrecipe #healthyrecipe #EasyRecipe #healthysnack #healthydessert #fallrecipe #falldessertidea #caramelapple
