@hr_explained: Companies who want to reduce claims or litigation need better managers. It’s managers who have the most contact with staff. Not HR. This doesn’t mean HR never makes a mistake or has ethics issues. There isn’t a single profession that is perfect in terms of how its professionals act. But, it’s managers who have the power to reduce or increase claims. Much more than HR has. Imagine your manager was decent, understood the company’s policies and applied them equitably, and jusy didnt violate your rights. Claims would 📉. And HR performs a lot of needed and required job functions for companies. Just like IT, Finance, and Maintenance do. If you wish HR would go away, that’s fine, but please enjoy a random manager administering your benefits, ensuring payroll taxes and deductions are correct, writing policy, and managing employee data. Just add that to the other work they have. Or, HR’s work can get outsourced. How much do you love outsourced products? #humanresources #hrtiktok #corporatetiktok #corporatelife #careertiktok #leadershipdevelopment #managersbelike #careeradvice

Could you throw a guess as to why no one tells workers this information during orientation? I feel like it's extremely rare in the workforce having HR & legal be side by side during our first day

But don’t HR have to inform managers what is legal to do and what is not? And also create policies to ensure safe job work ennvironment? Employment law?
