I would be cautious about going with a black roof as it attracts more heat and potentially making your ac system have to work harder to deal with the extra heat in the summer.

Metal roof will be loud during rain. You can dampen the noise with some layment I think it is, but just something to consider.

do NOT paint the shingles. My dad is a roofer, I wanted to paint mine, he literally had the owners and other supervisors call me and tell me how terrible the idea is. It can also cancel your warranty!

Talk to a roofing company to see what your area says abt metal roofs. In Louisiana home owners ins isn’t replacing roof your if it’s metal

As a roofing/insurance guy, I promise you don’t wanna do a metal roof (yes it will last forever, but unless you policy inclusions insurance won’t pay for cosmetic damage ie hail)

Not sure where you are but I'm in ontario and own a roofing company, black metal roof would look sweet and up the value of your home. Never heard of painting shingles, do not recommend.love your vids!

You can paint shingles but be sure to research your shingles and their specifications as some colors of paint with attract too much heat and cause them to warp
