@nick_werber: Two things I wish I knew earlier about rumination… For the longest time I thought I was just a deep thinker. Which may also be true, but it never occurred to me that going up into my head and becoming hypnotized by constant thinking was my hideout. These are two things that would have saved me a lot of time back when I was at the peak of constant rumination. What’s helped you? ✨ Two other things of note: ✨ I did a class on rumnation a few months back that you can still find in the link in my profi|e. Im neurodivergent and also have borderline personality disorder, rumination is my default when I'm not having a conversation or heavily distracted. it's exhausting. Im looking into DBT therapy soon 🤞

Honestly, work has helped. I discovered that I love fast paced jobs (serving tables, working at the hospital) but now I realized that maybe it’s because it’s a way to stop my rumination.

Rumination goes hand in hand with limerence. I write poetry and music, and paint. These help to ground me. I also talk about things with ppl. Facing the worst that can happen helps, too.
