Apple snail eggs, easily recognizable by their bright pink or orange color, are laid in clusters above the waterline on plants and other structures. These eggs belong to various species of apple snails, aquatic mollusks that are often found in freshwater habitats. Originating from South America, these snails have been introduced into various ecosystems around the world, sometimes as part of the aquarium trade or for aquatic weed control. The introduction of apple snails into non-native environments can have significant ecological impacts.
