@jotsforsanity: Its been one year since i wrote and shared this piece.  I hold it close to my heart for so many reasons. Everyone seeing this woke up this morning, you're breathing and with a heartbeat. You get to enjoy today and work any luck will wake up again tomorrow. You get to see your family and friends, and enjoy life's luxuries. It can sometimes be easy to forget to be grateful for the most basic thing: Life itself. But it can also be hard to remember for those that suffer in periods of darkness.
