@theadventureaddicts: I can’t believe we did this 😅 A few years ago we learned about this classic Yosemite climb up the side of half dome called “Snake Dike,” and we’re super intrigued… but then we learned about a few accidents on it and said “yeah… we’re never going to do that.” But, after a lot of progression and confidence building, (and some friends who said they’d go with us @operation.adventure and @kayli.kiing ), we decided this was our time to try it!!! Our guidebook says “snake dike is one of the most classic Yosemite adventure climbs, and it is not to be missed.” So, we set some really early alarms and made it happen. The hike up was pretty brutal, and the hike from the top of the climb to the summit felt even more brutal 😅 But the 8 pitches of climbing were stellar, so fun, and definitely a big head game. I’m so proud of us for checking this off the bucket list!!! Plus then we got to watch @ilikebigbuttress and @vaill_michael finish the Quad: climbing Mount Watkins, El Cap, Washington Column and Half dome all in 21 hours and 50 minutes. This is the Yosemite triple + 1, which had never been done before!!! So cool to experience Yosemite history being made. They’re insane!!! This was our last day in the valley for the season and probably one of the most fulfilling days we’ve had 🥲🫶 #yosemite #climbing #campinglife #halfdome #adventureculture
