Tbh, teaching a fancy heel and focusing more on competitive style OB has helped my dog’s reactivity significantly. Giving her an outlet to bark, be pushy, jump, etc. building handler engagement

I definitely prefer both but if I had my two from pups there manners etc would have came way before any obedience did. Thankfully we’re getting somewhere with Loki so I’m hopeful for his future 🥰

If you work with sport dogs, then most things are built without strict obedience, so that the dog has more fun and you can shape it more. There is a difference in manners and patience vs OB with that
